Welcome to Aberdeen Academy (PK-5)

Our team strives to empower our diverse group of scholars as they are seen, heard, valued, encouraged, and supported as humans and students. We help equip scholars with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.

It is my honor to serve as Interim Principal of Aberdeen Academy. I look forward to getting to know you and partnering with our families and stakeholders. May we continually grow as a community of learners, enriching one another's lives through active engagement with our northeast-side neighbors and beyond.

Aberdeen Academy offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for all scholars.

As a neighborhood school on the northeast side of Grand Rapids, we serve scholars in grades preschool-5. Aberdeen offers general and special education programming led by highly qualified teachers, our curriculum is aligned to current state standards, and our one-to-one student technology device policy ensures that every scholar has the technological tools they need to support their instruction. We are also a proud proponent of PBIS, and we use the S.O.A.R. acronym to capture the qualities we encourage in our scholars: Safety, Ownership, Achievement, Respect. At Aberdeen, you can be sure that your child will receive an education that soars above the rest.

As a district, we take pride in preparing our students for the real world by providing quality programs, enrichment opportunities, and more. To learn more about how Aberdeen supports every student in the classroom and beyond, schedule a tour today!
