Kent Hills Elementary School provides a safe, nurturing environment enabling all students to achieve their maximum potential. Kent Hills is located on the northeast side of Grand Rapids in a beautiful natural setting. It was renovated in 2008 to offer an excellent learning environment.

With a low staff to student ratio, students at Kent Hills benefit from small class sizes and individual attention. Students also have access to support from Schools of Hope and Michigan Reading Corp tutors. The result is a close-knit community where students succeed.

The teachers at Kent Hills are committed to student success. They go above and beyond to ensure that students’ needs are met, that parents are involved in their child’s education and that students have a positive experience. In a recent survey, 92% of parents said the school provides their child with additional support when needed.

Kent Hills values parents as partners in their child’s education. Parents are regularly involved as volunteers and participate in many family events throughout the year. According to a recent parent survey, 98% of parents feel welcome at Kent Hills.

STUDENT SAFETY

Staff at Kent Hills take a fair, firm, and consistent approach to discipline. In fact, 96% of parents said they see that the school’s rules are consistently enforced for all students. This approach is paired with a program known as Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS), which recognizes students for making good choices and showing positive behavior. The result is a safe and secure learning environment.
