PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on December 3, 2018, at 6:00 o’clock, p.m., at Grand Rapids Public Schools Administration Building, Lyman Parks Auditorium, 1331 Franklin St. SE, Grand Rapids, the Board of Education will hold a public meeting at which will be offered for adoption a resolution to ratify and affirm the district’s historic practice of levying a summer tax levy of all of its annual property tax levy.

The adoption of the proposed resolution would result in the continued annual levy of all of school property taxes on July 1. The Board of Education, under Act 451, Public Acts of Michigan, 1976, as amended, may impose a summer tax levy of all of annual school taxes. If a summer tax levy is continued, the school district may enter into agreements with each city or township in which it is located, or a county treasurer, for collection of the summer taxes, or may collect such taxes itself pursuant to said Act 451.

This notice is given by order of the Board of Education.

Secretary, Board of Education
