The Grand Rapids Board of Education voted unanimously to move forward with the superintendent search process. At a regularly scheduled board work session, the Board reviewed proposals from seven different search firms. Proposals ranged in price from as low as $24,500 to as high as $80,000.

The Board has selected three firms for interviews:

  • Ray & Associates
  • Hazard, Young, Attea Associates
  • Baker, Tilly, Virchow, Krause LLP

The superintendent search firm interviews are scheduled for September 17 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Rev. Lyman S. Parks Administration Building (1331 Franklin SE).

Interim superintendent Dr. Ronald Gorman informed the Board that he will not be seeking the permanent position.
