Purpose:

The program is designed to re-engage high schools students who have left school or dropped out for various reasons but still wish to complete their education, earn a high school diploma and go to college.  Students must commit to becoming a Dual Enrolled students before graduating high school in this program.  The program offers Accelerated Credit Recovery, flexible scheduling, online course, academic support, and an easier transition into college at GRCC.

Eligibility:

  • Age 16-19 (cannot turn 20 before the first day of school)
  • Out of school (not attending any school) for at least 6 months up to 2.5 years
  • 10th grade status (by credits not age)
  • Minimum 8th Grade Reading Level (passing grade in at least 9th grade English course)
  • Must Complete Program Interest Application  
  • Serious Commitment to high school completion and graduation (completing all courses online)
  • Serious Commitment to becoming a Dual Enrolled student at GRCC
  • Serious Commitment to Career Preparation

Program Particulars:

  • Capacity 150 students (75 students  AM and 75 students PM)
  • Split Schedule (AM Section 8 AM-12 Noon and PM Section 1 PM-5 PM)
