The GRPS Office of Extended Learning is pleased to announce that LOOP and LOFT after school program applications are now available for the 2012-13 school year. The program start date for year round schools is September 5. The program start date for regular calendar schools is October 1.
To enroll your child, pick up a registration packet from the main office at their school, fill it out, and return completed forms to the school's site coordinator. Space is limited, and students are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Transportation may be available for students attending 3 or more days per week.
The LOOP/LOFT after school programs provides academic support and enrichment activities in a safe, structured, and supervised environment for GRPS students in 1st through 12th grades. The program is held Monday through Friday. Every day includes a nutritious snack; homework help, tutoring, or other academic activity; and health and fitness, character education, arts, cultural activity, or other enrichment activity.
LOOP/LOFT is available at the following schools: Aberdeen, Alger, Brookside, Buchanan, Burton, CA Frost, Campau Park, Campus, Cesar Chavez, Coit, Covell, Creston, Dickinson, East Leonard, Gerald R. Ford, GR Montessori, Harrison Park, Ken-O-Sha, Kent Hills, Mulick Park, North Park, Ottawa Hills, Riverside, School of Health Sciences, Shawmut Hills, Sibley, Southwest Community Campus, Union, UPrep, and Westwood.
