Sponsored by Warner, Norcross, and Judd, this year’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Essay contest asked 6th grade students to choose between two different writing prompts that were inspired from the life and workings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The first writing prompt asked students what they could specifically do to make the world a better place for everyone and what kind of advice did they think Dr. King would give them? Because Dr. King is considered a hero, the second writing prompt asked students who is their role model and what have they done to inspire them to reach out and help others?
